Raku Firing at the WAC

We offer Raku Firing during our scheduled Raku class (usually on Monday night--see class schedule for details). Up to three loads will be fired per night, as needed.

All are welcome to bring their Bisqued pottery for Raku Firing.

  • There is no charge for Raku Firing for our current Students and Open Studio Pass holders.
  • For members of the Friends not currently enrolled in the Raku class, Firing Fees are $5 per kiln or $15 per evening.
  • For nonmembers who want to use our Raku kiln, Firing Fees are $10 per kiln load or $30 per evening.

If you have a lot of pieces to fire, you may need to set up a private firing outside of the Monday night class time. Private firings must be supervised by an authorized pyromaniac from the WAC. Contact us to schedule a Firing Session in our Raku Kiln!
