New Summer Studio Update
Hello Everyone!
Currently, the WAC studio is open 10:00 am to 3:00 pm through June 20.
Starting June 22, the WAC studio will be open from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, Saturday. Monitors clean and disinfect the studio in the mornings and will open the doors at 10:00.
We have scheduled 10 summer classes beginning the week of June 22nd and lasting eight weeks. Everyone will practice social distancing and must wear a face mask. Due to smaller class sizes, we encourage you to sign up soon. Special guidelines for cleaning your work area and bats will be posted. Please read the link above describing the guidelines and expectations for studio use, designed to help ensure a safe working environment.
Beginning this week, bisque ware without names and pottery on the shelves for longer than 10 weeks will be moved to an abandoned ware cart for disposal on June 18th. If you have work to be glazed, please come in and retrieve it.
The WAC Garage Sale will be held June 20th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. If you would like to donate saleable “treasures” for this sale, please bring items to the WAC beginning June 12th. All proceeds will go toward studio operation expenses. Unsold items will be donated to the Union Gospel Mission. We are hoping to make $2000.
A WAC fundraising Pottery Sale will be held across from Saturday Market on June 27th from 7:00 am-4:00 pm. We will be selling donated pottery. If you have pots that you are willing to donate, please drop them off at the studio with a note—For Pottery Sale. Also, come in to make some simple garden art or to help glaze and Raku pots for the pottery sale (formerly used for AV) on Friday and Saturday, June 5 and 6. Refreshments will be served.
It has been a long closure, but we’re very excited to welcome you back to play with clay! We are truly back up and running. Thank you for your patience and your loyal support. See you soon!
