Members-only open studio
We will continue our members-only open studio during classes subject to the limitations described below.
Members who don’t plan to stay after a wheel class must clean up 40 minutes before class ends to prevent congestion at the sink.
General guidelines:
- You must have an open studio pass (monitors can access subject to capacity without a studio pass; without a pass, you must make room for pass holders if there is no excess capacity).
- Present your membership card and pass to establish your right to access the studio.
- Please stay out of the teaching space, and don’t ask the instructor or students questions. You can direct your questions to the monitor on duty.
- This access depends on respectful conduct. Access may be revoked at the WAC’s discretion.
- Please enjoy the extra studio time and encourage quiet and respectful sharing of the community space.
- No members-only access during Raku or Tuesday morning handbuilding.
Call ahead if you have a question about what areas of the studio will be accessible during open studio.
During wheel classes, you are restricted to the gallery. Please arrive before class to gather materials. Do not stage your tools, clay and work-in-progress in the main studio.
You may use the wheels and the gallery space during Monday morning hand building. Please arrive before class to get items you have stored/shelved near the hand-building table. Make every effort to keep the class area free from distraction.
During all classes, check with the monitor before accessing the glaze area.
