Due to popular demand, we are offering another 2-day Drum Workshop in July with Jim Ransom starting on Tuesdays: July 11, 5:30-8:30PM & July 13, 6-7PM.

New Summer Classes & Workshops!

Our summer classes and workshops are now online! Classes will start June 12th and end July 29th.

We are also offering two 2-day workshops the first part of June, and our Mother’s Day workshop:
  • Mindful Sculpting with K.D. Rowell, June 5 & 7th, 6-8PM;
  • Drum Workshop with Jim Ransom, June 6 5:30-8:30PM and June 8, 6-7PM; and
  • Moms Do Clay Day Workshop with Michelle Blumenthal & Christine Lamoureux, June 14 10AM-12:30PM

Brian Nicholas Demonstration Workshop

Join Brian where he will be leading a demonstration workshop creating stunning carved bowls. He will discuss the design, templates, throwing, trimming and patterns, transferring designs, firing and glaze considerations. Tools, cutting and finishing techniques will be covered as well.

When: Saturday January 7th 10:00-12:00PM
Cost: $20, limited to 20 students

All proceeds go to the WAC Scholarship fund!

Weather Closure!

Due to the ice weather alert warning, the WAC will close at 1:00PM tomorrow, Thursday Dec 22nd, and all day Friday the 23rd. A high fire and cone ^6 glaze kiln will be unloaded Thursday morning. We will plan on opening Tuesday Dec 27th at 10:00AM.

December Workshops and Scholarship Info

Looking for a warm, friendly place to get your creative juices flowing this winter? The Willamette Art Center is the place to be! We are offering three December workshops for students ages 12–14 years and up and one workshop for advanced potters.

  • Mask Planters with Sam Rogers
  • Spike Raku Dishes with Heather Skinner
  • Ceramic Whistle & Flute Making with Jim Ransom; and
  • Throwing and Carving with Joe & Aubrey from East Creek Art

Scholarships for winter term classes are available. Applications must be turned in by Saturday, November 26.
