I have my Bachelor of Arts degree in Art from Western Oregon University with a split focus in Design & Fine Art. When I am not in the studio, I love being out on the trail exploring the wonders of the Pacific Northwest. My love of design, art, and nature intertwines into my ceramic work where I focus on organic form. Through the years, I have explored ways to try new ideas and techniques, as well as push the envelope in how I can express and convey my artistic pursuits. In teaching, I enjoy seeing students connect to art through the creative process and find their way to express themselves. I thrive on setting up classes, workshops, and projects where people can stretch the boundaries of possibility in their work, and can leave being able to really take something away from their experience. Another key element to my teaching is building and fostering community.
