I took my first class in 2009 with my teenage daughter Chloe. She loved pottery classes at West Salem high school. Thrilled she wanted to spend time with me, I signed us up. We took a raku class. I had fun, so I signed up for another after the first class. I also began bringing my younger kids to family clay Sundays. Life happened, and after several years (nearly a decade), my daughter Chloe again asked if I wanted to take a throwing class. The answer is always yes when my kids ask to spend time together. Outside of clay, I enjoy knitting, making quilts, and baking. I split my spare time during the summer between boating, horseback riding, camping, and my flower garden.
