I am a native Oregonian who touched clay for the first time at summer camp as a child, and I’ve been hooked ever since. After taking several years away from clay to focus on my education and career, I moved back to Oregon and rediscovered my love of ceramics at the WAC. I love the creative process and am always eager to learn new skills and techniques for advancing my work. I lead a busy life as a full-time NASA engineer, competitive rower, avid Dungeons and Dragons player, and adventurous outdoorswoman, so working in clay keeps me sane and grounded. I am excited to share the joy of the creative process with my students and hope I can help them find peace and purpose in their own lives through creating art.
