Make a drum! Participants will receive a bisqueware drum. They will glaze and raku fire the drum then attach the drumhead during the first day of the workshop. The second day will involve finishing the drum and trying it out. All materials to complete a drum will be provided as well as a demonstration on throwing a drum barrel.
Materials to complete a drum will be provided; however students will need a flathead screwdriver and a washcloth. Limited to 8 students age 16 years & up.

Join us for the 1st Annual Willamette Art Center “Moms Do Clay Day.” Learn something new and create a “Buddy Vase or Planter,” a unique pottery piece to be cherished for years to come. Our instructors will walk you through simple techniques – no skill or experience necessary. Invite a friend and/or your mom, sister, aunt, grandmother too. The work you make will be glazed, fired and ready within about 2 weeks. Gift cards are available – makes a great Mother’s Day gift.
